8 Charges, 6 were not prosecuted

Posted on October 10, 2019 at 11:30 AM

Client charges in Newport News included DWI - 1st offense, 2 x Civil Violation - refused blood/breath test, obstruction/resisted w/o force, driving without license, failure to obey highway sign, failure to obey highwal lane marking, and registration violoation - non-resident.  A plea was negotiated with the prosecutor and the client pled guilty on the DWI and driving without a license.  The other six charges were not prosecuted (Nolle Prosequi).  No jail time and only one year of unsupervised probation.  WOW, what a great deal!!!

For additional information, see VA Codes for DWI § 18.2-266, penalties § 18.2-270, and driving without a license § 46.2-300.

I'm just commenting to let you understand of the really good discovery my wife's child gained visiting your blog. She picked up a lot of details, which include how it is like to have an ideal teaching mood to have the others with no trouble learn about several specialized issues. You truly surpassed our expectations. Thanks for delivering the useful, safe, informative and even fun tips about the topic to Gloria.
